Sleep time in Sarria

Since waking at 5.00am we have already journeyed many miles arriving in Santiago in the early afternoon and transferring another hour and a half to Sarria and yet, whilst the adventure is very much underway, still our walk has yet to begin. Tonight after a huge 'pilgrims menu' meal (which cost practically nothing) we retired early to juggle our luggage and ready ourselves for tomorrow. Amanda and I are already (slightly) obsessing about buying tomorrow's lunch (we're told that access to provisions may be limited along the way and you don't want to walk 14 miles on a croissant!), David is (slightly) obsessing about leaving early enough to get finished before dusk and Stephen .... well Stephen isn't obsessing about anything really. He's calmly reading his book and has his kit all sorted for the off in the morning. He's Commander in Chief of Logistics and so knows what he's doing even if the rest of us don't. We have however already spotted the way markers we will follow from here on and received our first 'credential' stamp! An exciting moment indeed.

And so to bed .... X
